Product options allow your customers to make selections such as colour or size of item. It can be quite tricky to understand how this works, so please experiment with it to get a better understanding of how it works. Here’s an example. Click Catalog>Product Options
STEP 1
STEP 2

Repeat this process for Medium and Large as well, and you will see the three options appear in the list (box 2)
STEP 3
Now we’re ready to assign the options to a particular product, so look at box 3:
Choose a product in the first column, choose your new option in the 2nd column, and choose ‘Small’ in the 3rd column. In this example I’ve entered 2.00 in the ‘Option Price Column’ and I’ve chosen ‘-’ in the ‘Add/Subtract’ column. What does this mean? It means if a customer chooses to order a small size for product Test 1, they will be charged the standard price less 2.00. Therefore ordering a smaller size will cost less. Click ‘Add Product Options’ to add this to the list.
I can also charge more for a larger size. Follow the same steps in the diagram above, but this time choose Option Attribute ‘Large’, enter an additional price increase in the ‘Option Price’ and then choose ‘+’ in the ‘Add/Subtract’ column. This will now increase the price of the product if the customer chooses a large size.
You can use these product options for colours and other product variations.
