To get a blueprint of how your homepage is set out, go to Site>Preview>Inline with Positions

You will then see your website homepage with boxes and labels on it, eg 'top', 'newslight', 'left' etc. Print this page for your reference.

Parts of the page
Overview
There are certain parts of the hoomepage that you cannot change such as the logo. The parts of the homepage that can be changed are broken down into 1. the main content area and 2. modules.
1. Main Content Area
The main content area of your homepage is indicated above, with red text. The main content area is managed via the Front Page Manager.
You can get to the Front Page Manager via the Content menu:

You can change the order of items appearing in the main content area, by clicking the 'reorder' buttons. You can remove an item from your homepage by selecting it and then clicking 'Remove' at the top right.

You can add an item to the front page via the Content menu:

Simply click the cross in the 'Front Page' column, next to the item that you'd like to appear on the homepage. Here you can see both homepage items that already appear on the front page:

As soon as you enable an item for the Front Page, it will appear in the Front Page Manager where you can change the appearance order etc.
2. Modules
In the blueprint illustration on page 1 above you can see boxes with labels. Those boxes are positions with their position names, eg 'left' and 'top'. What appears in those positions? Modules appear in those positions.
To see all your website modules, go to Modules>Site Modules:

You can see the position that each module appears in by looking in the 'Position' column:

To change the position that a module appears in, simply click the module name and it will open the settings for you to change. The position can be changed as indicated below. The pages that this module item will appear on can also be set (on the right):
