how do I create new pages

Overview

Each page of your website is created and managed in Content>All Content Items

Creating a Page

Click 'New' at the top right, and fill in the form to create a new page as follows:

1. Enter page title and text

2. Save page
Click 'Save' at the top right, which will automatically close the new page when saving it. If you click on 'Apply' the page stays open after saving it, which is useful if you have more changes that you'd like to make.

3. Create a link
So far we have created a new page but haven't done anything with it, so nobody can see it on your website yet. To make it visible we have to put it somewhere. The usual place to put it is to create a new menu item for it.

Go to Menu>mainmenu

Click 'New' at the top right and choose 'Link – Content Item', then click 'Next' at the top right:

Give your menu item a name and choose which page you would like it to show. Below we've chosen a page called 'Imagine' which is in the General / Pointers category. Click 'Save' at the top right.

4. Change order of appearance and publish/unpublish
You can change the order of appearance by clicking the up and down arrows in the 'Reorder' column. You can publish/ unpublish menu items by clicking the icon next to the relevant menu item.

5. Check the homepage
Always check everything while you are working. Go back to your homepage and click your browser's refresh button so that you can see the things you've just changed. If we had just published the new menu item called TEST, we would have seen it appear in the main menu of the website. When you click on your new menu item, you will see your new page.
