Our Environment

In recent years we are becoming very aware of the adverse effects that we have created in our environment. Global warming is effecting us all and we HAVE to do something to slow the effect down. We believe that each and every one of us has a part to play and we should not sit passively and think 'oh how terrible, but what can I do that will make a difference'. Everybody can make a difference, and SHOULD make a difference, however small or insignificant it may seem.

We realise that as a business we have a greater influence and have taken the following steps towards helping reduce the effects of global warming:

  • Dotcom Kiosk employees all work from home - we don't have an additional office and we don't travel to work, hence cutting down on the energy we use
  • We have a paperless office policy. We do not send out paper invoices or letters, and therefore have reduced need for paper, and printing
  • We reuse and recycle paper. Instead of thowing paper away we use the reverse side for scrap paper, and when it's completely used we send it to recycling
  • We're proud that our servers are powered entirely by GREEN energy. What does that mean? All of the energy used to power our servers comes from solar or wind-power.
